Photo Exhibition Lecture at the Tellus Science Museum...

Hello There!

A photo lecture to be held on 19 October, 2013, at Georgia's second-largest museum, the Tellus Science Museum in Cartersville.  I'm a twenty-year commercial photographer in Atlanta, and have spoken numerous times at the Roswell Photo Society, the Cobb Photo Society, the Atlanta Photo Society, among others.  Would love to have you and your members come out and join us...

Please call me should you have questions.

All Best,

John Slemp
Photographer

Join us on October 19th at 2 pm as aviation photographer John Slemp shares the technical details and aesthetic considerations that went into the making of the Reaching High exhibition photographs.  During this lecture, we'll go into the decision making process that every photographer must consider when creating images.  We'll go beyond f-stops and shutter speeds in exploring why a particular setting was chosen, and the emotional and aesthetic impact post-production has when creating images.  Color treatments, black and white toning, cropping, and other digital "finishing" touches will be discussed.  Get to the museum early to see the exhibition and then bring your questions to the lecture.  The artist will be available to answer questions in the exhibition hall after the lecture.  Museum admission is required, but the lecture is free.  The Reaching High exhibition is a production of the Bright Ring Foundation.
